The Library is an integral part of our school’s educational
program providing students with materials for research and pleasure
reading. The Library is open six days and five evenings per
week. Students come to the Library to study, work together in groups,
and perform research using the traditional and electronic resources.
Staff is on hand at all times to provide individual assistance in researching
a paper, looking for recreational reading, and computer assistance.
Included within the two story spacious facility are a computer lab, a
professional library, group study rooms, and a periodical reading area. There
are comfortable seating areas throughout the building.
The library has a computerized catalog and circulation
system named InfoCentre, which
oversees the 13,968 print and non-print collection of books and
videos. The library also houses sixty-five periodicals and
newspapers, and a leasing system of bestseller books from Baker &
Taylor Book Publishers.
The Library has ten computers plus a computer lab for
research purposes and e-mail. The computers are networked to the RGNS
Intranet, the Internet, and also have online capabilities to the
following subscription databases:
GALILEO,
EBSCO’s Ultra Online, netTrekker,
Grolier Online, Humanities E-Book Project, JSTOR, ARTSTOR, and BrainPop
