Dear Seventh Grade Parents and Students:

Intersession is approaching quickly, and we are extremely excited about our trip.  We will be visiting southern coastal Georgia for the week and are very excited about seeing this region of our state.  Your child needs to arrive at the Dining Hall Parking Lot at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, December 14.  We will return at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18 to the Dining Hall Parking Lot.

We will be staying at New Ebenezer Retreat Center, in Ricon, Georgia (www.newebenezer.org).  The students will be in our supervision for the duration of the trip.

Enclosed you will find an itinerary that will describe our day to day activities.  We have also included a list suggesting what your child should bring.  Please make any purchases needed for their intersession trip over the Thanksgiving Break.

Remember, "No news is good news."  Please do not be surprised if you do not receive a phone call from your child.  We will be keeping the students very busy, and they may not take the time to call you.

Only in the case of an emergency, contact the following numbers:

· Emergency Contact Information:

· Daytime Hours (8-5) Please contact the school and the receptionist will connect you to the designated emergency person.    706-746-7467

· Evening Hours—Please contact the Duty Administrator phone at    706-982-2343 for assistance.

We have also included a list of what to bring.  The weather is unpredictable, so students need to pack for both cold and warm temperatures.

Thank you,

Seventh Grade Chaperones
