Dear Parents of Sixth Graders:

This year, the focus of the Sixth Grade Intersession will be the story of the area we live in and the school we attend.  We will be aided in our study of the area by staff from several state and national parks.  Additionally, some truly wonderful local folks will be generously sharing their skills and experiences to teach us “how it used to be.”  Attached you will find an itinerary and a list of what to bring for our daily Intersession activities.

A phone is available to students in the case of an emergency.  Please do not ask your child to call home just to check in.  It puts the burden on your child of trying to obey you and trying to obey the program rules.  For the week, please accept that “no news is good news.”

Only in the case of an emergency, contact the following numbers:

Daytime Hours (8-5) Please contact the school and the receptionist will connect you to the designated emergency person.  706-746-7467

Evening Hours--Please contact the Duty Administrator phone at 706-982-2343 for assistance.

If you have any questions before Intersession, contact Susan Orr (ext. 249) or Kelly Frank (ext. 295) at 706-746-7467.

Thank you,
